Chevrolet's Suburban has been carried over largely unchanged for 2005. It is again
available in both 1500 and 2500, in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. 4WD models
are available with the Z71 Off-Road Package, which includes off-road suspension,
skid plates, wheel flares, tubular side-steps, and upgraded wheels and tires. All
Suburban 1500's are powered by a 295-hp 5.3L Vortec V-8 engine, while the 2500's
boast a 6.0 V-8 engine. Several optional upgrade packages are available, which
include features such as a sunroof, six-disc CD changer, adjustable pedals,
OnStar, and StabiliTrak vehicle stability system. A rear seat entertainment
system, featuring a DVD player and overhead display, is also an available option.

ratio standard on 3/4-ton models only
- Revised interior trim for LS and LT models
- 160-amp alternator standard on half-ton models only; 145-amp alternator
standard on 3/4-ton models only
- Revised tire pressure monitoring system with individual tire alert system, now
available on 3/4-ton models (does not include spare tire)
- Redesigned assist steps for improved aerodynamics, durability
- 17-inch 5-spoke aluminum wheels included on LT package
- Engine oil cooler included and only available with 3/4-ton models with Vortec
8100 V-8
- Transmission oil cooler included and only available with trailering equipment
or 3/4-ton models
- New exterior colors: Sandstone Metallic, Bermuda Blue Metallic
