The 2005 Monte Carlo Coupe is available in three models: LS, LT and SS
Supercharger. The SS 240-hp supercharged 3.8L V8 engine is paired to a heavy-duty
four-speed automatic transmission. Other SS trim upgrades include a
leather-wrapped steering wheel, electronic cruise control, a rear deck spoiler,
and 17-inch cast aluminum wheels. The LS and LT come equipped with a 3.4L V6
engine paired to a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard features on the LS
and LT models include lockout protection, remote keyless entry, a PASSlock
theft-deterrent system, LATCH anchors, and a message center. Available options
include a power sunroof, a XM satellite radio, and the Onstar communication
system.

- OnStar is now standard, with new Gen 6 hardware with upgraded hands-free
capability
- 17-inch diamond-cut cast aluminum wheels available with chrome finish on
Supercharged SS
- New exterior colors: Laser Blue Metallic, Sport Red Metallic and Silverstone
