For 2005, Chevrolet replaces the Tracker with the all-new Equinox. This truck-like
compact sport utility is offered in two trims, LS and LT, and in two drive
configurations, 2WD and AWD. The Equinox comes equipped with a 185-hp 3.4L V6 and
a standard five-speed automatic transmission. Other standard features include air
conditioning, 16-inch wheels, an alarm system, a six-speaker sound system with s
CD player, and several power convenience features. The LT upgrades by adding ABS
brakes, cruise control, fog lights, deluxe cloth seats, and alloy wheels. Many
options are available, including the OnStar communication system, heated leather
seats, a power sunroof, side impact airbags, and an MP3-compatible stereo system.
