The 2004 Silverado 1500 Regular Cab is available in four models: Base and LS trims
in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. The 1500 Extended Cab is available in six
models: Base, LS, and LT trims in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. Three engine
choices are offered depending on trim and drive configuration, ranging from a 4.3L
195-hp V-6 up to a 295-hp V-8. Two transmission options are available, a
five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic. Safety features include four-wheel
anti-lock disc brakes, driver and passenger airbags, and daytime running lights.
Several options are available, including the Z71 Off-Road Suspension Package,
six-way power seats, traction control, aluminum wheels, and an AM/FM stereo with a
cassette and CD player. Also, available Ride-Control suspension options provide
manually selectable settings for optimal ride quality.
The new 1500 Crew Cab is available in four models: LS and LT trims in either 2WD
or 4WD configuration. All models are equiped with Chevrolet's 5.3L Vortec V-8
engine, which produces 295 horsepower and 330 lb.-ft. of torque. A four-speed
automatic transmission is standard. Safety features include four-wheel anti-lock
disc brakes, driver and passenger airbags, and daytime running lights. Several
options are available, including the Z71 Off-Road Suspension Package, six-way
power seats, traction control, XM Satellite Radio, and OnStar Communications
system. A rear seat entertainment system is also now available exclusively on Crew
Cab models.
The Chevrolet Silverado 2500 returns with minimal changes for this model year. All
models are powered by a 300-hp 6.0L V-8 engine and provide standard features such
as air conditioning and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. Regular cab models offer
either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission (standard on 4WD
models). Available options include a Trailering Equipment group, automatic climate
control, and deep tinted glass. Options available for 4WD models include a Snow
Plow Package and a Skid Plate Package. LT models are equipped with the OnStar
system, custom leather seating surfaces, polished forged aluminum wheels, and a
Premium Bose sound system with 6-Disc CD Changer.
The 2500 Extended Cab returns with minimal changes to the
interior and exterior. It is available in six models: Base, LS, and LT trims in
either 2WD or 4WD configurations. GM offers several engine and transmission
combinations, including two gasoline V-8 engines and one turbocharged V-8 diesel.
Available transmissions include an Allison five-speed automatic transmission or a
six-speed manual transmission. Optional packages include the Trailering Equipment
group, a skid plate package, and a snow plow package. Optional interior features
include leather seating, reclining bucket seats, and a premium sound system with
Bose speaker system, amplifier, and subwoofer.
The 2500 Crew Cab is available in four models: LS and LT trim,
and in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. All models are powered by a 6.0L 300hp
Vortec engine, coupled with a four-speed automatic transmission. The Silverado Crew
Cab will accomodate up to six passengers. The Quadrasteer 4-wheel Steering Package
is available on all models for improved maneuverability, and 2WD models can also be
ordered with traction control. A number of optional upgrades are available,
including aluminum wheels, OnStar communications system, a six-disc CD changer, and
leather seating. A new rear-seat entertainment system with DVD player and LCD
monitor has joined the options list, as well.
The Silverado 3500 Regular Cab returns for 2004 with minor changes to the interior
and exterior. Available in two models: Base and LS, it is offered in four-wheel
drive only. Both models are equipped with a 6.0L 300hp V-8 engine. An 8.1L V-8 and
a 6.6L Duramax diesel engine are also available. In addition to the Base model, the
LS model features cruise control, an AM/FM sound system with CD player, a rear
window defroster, remote keyless entry, and power locks, mirrors, and windows.
Optional features include a locking rear differential, a heavy-duty auxiliary
battery, Trailering Special Equipment, fog lights, an engine block heater, and
camper wiring provisions.
The 3500 Extended Cab returns for 2004 with minimal changes to the
interior and exterior. It is available in six models: Base, LS, and LT in either
2WD or 4WD configurations. The LS model features cruise control, remote keyless
entry, and power locks, mirrors, and windows. The LT model adds an electronic
transfer case (4WD models only), OnStar, an automatic transmission, dual-zone
automatic climate control, and heated leather bucket seats. Ten-way power control,
power lumbar support, and memory adjustment are also standard features on the LT
seats. Optional features include a locking rear differential, a heavy-duty
auxiliary battery, Trailering Special Equipment, and camper wiring provisions.
The 3500 Crew Cab returns for 2004 with minor changes to the interior and
exterior. It is available in six models: Base, LS, and LT in both two-wheel drive
or four-wheel drive configurations. Optional engines include a Duramax 6.6L V-8
turbo diesel engine and a Vortec 8.1L V-8 engine. The standard 6.0L V8 produces
300-hp and 360 lb.-ft. of torque. The LS model features cruise control, remote
keyless entry, and power locks, mirrors, and windows. The LT model adds an
electronic transfer case (4WD models only), OnStar, an automatic transmission,
dual-zone automatic climate control, and heated leather bucket seats. Optional
features include a locking rear differential, a heavy-duty auxiliary battery, and a
Trailering Special Equipment group.
The Silverado SS returns for 2004 with only minor changes. Available as an extended
cab with all-wheel drive, this performance oriented truck features a standard 6.0L
345hp V-8 engine coupled with a heavy-duty four-speed automatic transmission. The
SS rides on 20-inch aluminum wheels with performance tires and a lowered (roughly
two inches), specially tuned suspension. The exterior features unique styling cues
over the standard Silverado, including lower-body moldings, painted bumpers, and
bumper-mounted front air intakes. The SS comes standard equipped with 10-way power
leather buckets, deep tinted glass, and a CD stereo system with Bose speakers.
OnStar and XM Satellite radio are optional.
